THIS MONTH’S NUTRITION TOPIC:

Preparing Veggies in New Ways:
Try new ways to prepare veggies for your family: introduce new foods, make food fun, help find cooking methods you like, and fit veggies into a busy schedule. The video below shows 4 quick, easy ways to prepare veggies using broccoli as an example. Don’t like Broccoli? Try cauliflower, carrots, brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, or other seasonal veggies you may have on-hand.

FEATURED RECIPES:

Veggie Prep Ideas:
The document to the left shows 5 quick, yummy, easy recipes to get veggies into your day. Tight on time? Steam veggies in the microwave or spread out on a sheet pan and throw in the oven for 30 minutes. Give extra flavor to fresh veggies using a marinade! Use what you have on hand and buy seasonal produce when able to stretch your dollar.
