Russell K. Metoxen Sr, died peacefully in Elizabeth, Colorado on September 10, 2016 at the age of 62.
Russell Sr. is survived by his sons Russell (Melissa) Metoxen Jr; Appleton, WI; Walker (Brittany) Metoxen, Colorado; His grandchildren: Hailey, Olivia, Ellie, Phoenix and Walker Jr. His siblings: Sharon (James) Williams, Oneida; Jerry (Fanny) Metoxen Chicago; Roger (Donna) Metoxen, Oneida; Mildred Flores, Minnesota; Michael (Nancy) Metoxen, Oneida. He is preceded in death by his brother Elmer Metoxen Jr. and his mother Bernice Metoxen.
Russell was born on March 25, 1964 in Chicago IL to Bernice and Elmer (Cochise) Metoxen of Oneida. He graduated from Faragut High School in Chicago IL.
He joined the Marines. He relocated to Oneida WI and worked for his Tribe as a Black Jack Dealer. Later he made is dream come true by owning his own business Mr. Ribs. He will be remembered for his corn beef sandwiches, sherry sauce, and a lover of blues music.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday September 24, 2016 at The Parish Hall at 12:00 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Russell’s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to 819 W Whittier #2 Appleton, WI 54914.
